Activities of the KVK:

On Farm Testing programs aim at testing the new technologies developed at research centres in the field of crops, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries to ensure their suitability and sustainability to specific locations and to suggest or modify or refine the technology in real farm situations with the active participation of the farmers.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Cachar conducts Front Line Demonstrations on proven technologies in Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, Plant Protection, Fisheries Science, Animal Science, Community Science under farmers' field conditions. Under Front Line Demonstrations, different proven technologies like practice, suitable varieties of crop developed by research stations and Assam Agricultural University are demonstrated in wider areas of the district.

Trainings-

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Cachar conducts various types of trainings for farmers. These trainings help farmers gain essential knowledge, skills, improve their production, make best utilisation of their resources, make better decisions, and be aware of the latest scientific developments in agriculture. All these lead to better farming practices among the farmers.
